Santa brought Madelyn her Sophia dress and amulet she asked for as well as a little Barbie, undies, hair clips and candy. Jackson got his garbage truck, sprayer, markers, undies and candy. They were super excited that they got what they asked for! Santa ate all his cookies and drank his milk. He wrote a thank you note and said that the reindeer enjoyed their carrots as well. Pretty fun Christmas morning!
After breakfast and presents, we quickly got ready for Christmas dinner. Our first stop was at Brandon's parents' house where they were having Kub family Christmas. We were only able to stay for 45 minutes, but the kids got to see everyone and open their gifts. Then, we headed over to my parents' house for our Christmas. We had a delicious meal, then opened gifts. It was a fun day with family!
The kids were exhausted when we left after staying up late two nights in a row. We went right upstairs when we got home to read books and get ready for bed. The kids got sleeping bags from my sister and brother-in-law. They really wanted to sleep in their sleeping bags, so we told them they could try it. That was an hour and a half ago... Madelyn started in the sleeping bag, wanted to go to her bed, then back to the sleeping bag and is now finally quiet in her bed... Jackson has stayed in his sleeping bag the whole time, but is still rolling around up there. I had a feeling it would be a circus, but they were so excited for their new sleeping bags. Hopefully it will work better for them when they go stay at Uncle Chad and Aunt Leslie's house :)
Santa thanked the kids for taking such good care of Elfie while he was here. We are going to miss that little elf. He might need to come and visit the kids on their birthday. Its kind of a long time until next Christmas ;)
