Adventures of Elfie: Day 11

Our sneaky little elf was up to some trouble last night. He drew mustaches and Santa hats on our family picture! Madelyn was a little unsure about what Elfie had done, but Jackson thought it was hilarious.

Jackson filled his sticker chart yesterday morning, so he laid it on the counter last night for Elfie to take to Santa. Santa gave Jackson a new Chapstick (just like Madelyn got a few days ago). Since one of Jackson's favorite colors was green, Santa sent a green one with Elfie. However, Jackson said it was stinky Chapstick and was a little upset that Santa would give him a gross one... Oops. So, we put it on the counter again tonight and hope that Elfie will exchange it for a different one :)

Our Advent activity for the day was to color Christmas pictures. When we went to RDO on Sunday, they gave the kids a coloring sheet to color and return to the store.

They colored their pictures, then they each made a picture using Christmas stickers.

In our Advent book, we read about how Jesus loves children and wants us to believe like children. The activity was to look at their baby pictures. We had so much fun looking at their pictures and watching videos of them when they were babies. Jackson wanted to see the video of him coming out of mommy's tummy...I told him that there wasn't a video of that moment, but that we had pictures of him right after he was born. He thought that would be good enough...ha!

The first picture is baby Jackson (2010) and the 2nd picture is baby Madelyn (2012).

When we said prayers, Jackson thanked God for putting him in mommy's tummy. What a wonderful prayer! Madelyn copied him and thanked God for putting her in mommy's tummy, too. I have been blessed to have three babies in my tummy need to remember to thank God for them everyday! I'm so honored He chose me to be their mom!
