Adventures of Elfie: Day 14

Elfie must have been hungry last night. He invited a few guests over for dinner. Apparently, Santa needs to have a talk with him about choosing healthy food!

Our Advent calendar activity for today was to play hide & seek in the dark with flashlights. This is probably one of the kids' favorite games! After supper, we each grabbed a flashlight then shut off all the lights. We all had several turns of hiding and finding. It's such a simple, yet fun game that's even more fun in the dark! No pictures, though...I was to busy playing :)

During supper, we read about the shepherds watching their flock. The activity was to make a list of all the good things God has given us. Jackson named several things and even Madelyn came up with a few. After going through our list, we realized how many gifts we really have!

When Jackson came home from school, the kids made their fruit ornament we were supposed to make last night. Our little tree is filling up and I love it! The apple (Jackson) and banana (Madelyn) were a nice addition.

The cute nativity ornament is a project Jackson brought home from Sunday School last week. The picture is from the day he received his Bible in church.

Tomorrow, we are going over to my parents' house to bake cookies. My mom, sister, grandma and I try to get together ever year for this event. It is always so much fun! The kids are coming with for the morning, so they will get to "help", too. Although, they'll probably do more tasting than baking!
