The kids approved :)
Our Advent activity was to take a drive to look at Christmas lights after supper. The kids were excited all day! Jackson asked if they could wear their jammies and have their blankets in the car. So they took an early bath, put on their jammies, had supper and grabbed their blankies and a stuffed animal. I made hot chocolate for everyone, but Madelyn drank hers before we got in the car :/ We drove around the gravel roads by our house, then went through town. They loved it!
The flash was so bright in the car - both of their eyes are closed :)
During supper, we read in our Advent book. The story was about the prophesy of Isaiah and how Jesus is like a fruit tree. We prayed about how we are not perfect, but want to be like trees that bear delicious fruit. We talked about our favorite fruit. Jackson said apples and Madelyn said bananas. The activity was to make an ornament of your favorite fruit. We weren't able to do that tonight because we left to go look at the lights. But, hopefully tomorrow we can hang an apple and a banana on our Advent tree!
